I have continued my spinning. I tried a spinning wheel but I like my sticks and stones better. Very meditative. I learned how to ply with the dropspindle from two sides of the same ply. It’s called Andean plying (or that is how I found it) and I’m linking a tutorial here.







04/2024 - Learning to spin with a drop spindel
This one (left) is made out of a stone, a nail, a piece of wood and a piece of wire.
First iterations had a piece of a swivel hook as the weight, which was too heavy .
