A celebration of Bread
05/2026, w/ Stefan Schönauer, Vienna As bread is a constant in our lives, spanning from nurishment to an embodyiment of culture and history, its emergence as a material in our artistic practices felt like an intuitive development.
A dough is something to be formed, it demands to be made.
And thus the bread talismans were created.
Inspired by the mystical of everyday life to subjects of greater myth, the sourdough companions gave shape to our doughlings.
To be eaten or dried and displayed was the lucky recipients choice.
